The Supply Chain Talks Back

CSR Asia is pleased to announce that the Chinese Association of Productivity Science (PDC), the University of Hong Kong (HKU), the City University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and the Business Environment Council (BEC) will participate as supporting organisations for CSR Asia's forthcoming conference, 'The Supply Chain Talks Back', at the Nanhai Hotel in Shenzhen on 21-22 November 2005.   Places are limited to 150 and are filling up fast. Please book soon

'The Supply Chain Talks Back' is the first conference that brings together representatives from along the whole supply chain to debate and discuss issues, tensions, best practice and problems in achieving social responsibility.

CSR Asia's first annual conference provides space for the sort of discussion and debate that has been missing in other CSR forums. It will allow participants to address the concerns and aspirations of all stakeholders. We encourage conference participants to see themselves as stakeholders in created capacity in the Asian Pacific region.

The conference is mostly workshop based. You will hear from migrant workers, factory employees, women's groups, trade unions, human rights activists, health officials, standards setters, factory owners, government representatives and the brands themselves.

'The Supply Chain Talks Back' provides a forum for dialogue, engagement and debate. Workshops will be led by experts in fields including occupational health and safety, factory training and capacity building, engaging governments, social security, labour law and labour disputes resolution, human rights and reputation risks, the environment and public health, communications and trade unions. Speakers include:
