| International Training Programme on PLANNING
FOR CARE AND SUPPORT OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS- Jaipur
|

| November 7-11, 2005 |
| |
| The broad objective of this training programme
is to strengthen technical and managerial capabilities of participants
in planning and implementation of care and support programme
for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) and their families. More
specifically, it will focus on: |
| |
- Developing understanding (situation analysis) of the care
and support needs (health, economic, social etc.) of PLHA
and their families.
- Comprehensive HIV/AIDS care.
- Institutional management of HIV/AIDS: counseling; testing,
treatment of illnesses; ARV therapy.
- Home and community based care of PLHA.
- Ethical issues in the care of PLHA.
- Monitoring and evaluation and evaluation of care and support
programme for PLHA.

| The programme is designed for planners, programme managers
and researchers in organisations, institutions and NGOs involved
in the management of HIV/AIDS at provincial and national levels.
The number of participants is restricted to 25. |

| The course fee will be Rs.14,000/- for Indian participants
and US $600/- for international participants. This covers charges
for board and lodging and course material. The participants/sponsoring
agencies will have to bear the travel expenses to and from New
Delhi. |
